IBU Biathlon European Championship – Ridnaun/ South Tyrol

The year started with a fantastic show in South Tyrol, being in the Ridnau Valley in particular, where I was able to see enormous masses of snow which I had never seen before in my whole life. The show was part of the opening open-air ceremony for the biathlon European Championship in perfect weather conditions: absolutely windless, a sparkling sky full of snowflakes. You cannot imagine a better setting for sand art! The individual show told the history of biathlon and honored the athletes.
